Celebrity lifestyle is sweet but difficult to maintain. It requires extra work to keep your fans. You are expected to pour out all your best each time to meet an audience. Not an easy one at all right! Here’s the kind of celebrity lifestyle that’s sweet and requires little or nothing to maintain your fame and respect.
Being born to a royal family! Not the kind of royalty in the African setup, not as if undermining Africa’s royalty. Amongst the famous, wealthy and most especially, respected and having influence in national and international affairs.
Prince Charles is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth and first in line to the British throne. He was born on November 14 1948. He has long been expected to take over, but unfortunately, that will happen only when his mother – who is the longest reigning monarch – dies or if she were to abdicate.
The Prince of Wales on 29 July 1981 got married to Lady Diana Spencer, who became the Princess of Wales. The couple had two boys, William and Harry. Unfortunately, they later separated and their marriage was dissolved sometime in 1996. On 31 August 1997, the Princess was involved in a car crash in Paris which took her life. Prince Charles later married Camilla Parker Bowles his present wife on 9 April 2005. As heir to the throne, his main responsibilities are to support the Queen in her royal commitment, take royal trips to different countries and destinations, and enjoying his celebrity lifestyle.
In royalty and a celebrity kind of way, the prince of Wales is celebrating his milestone year. What characterizes this year’s celebration and other years is what we will look at. We take a look back at his life as a royal.
Prince Charles and wife Camillia, Duchess of Cornwall – started his birthday celebrations early after he was presented with a cake covered with berries, chocolate and white and gold icing during his visit to Ghana. He was visiting Ghana for the second time. The Prince first visited Ghana in 1977 at the age of 29 as a single then. Forty-one years later, Prince Charles was in Ghana again, this time with his second wife, Camillia Parker Bowles. The British High Commission in Accra Ghana said some of the events on the Prince’s itinerary constitute part of the celebration of his 70th birthday.
The couple were cited in several destinations doing what royals in a celebrity way will do, they have been busy visiting sites, enjoying the views and appreciating the stories. They were guests of the Asantehene, the monarch of the Ashanti, one of Ghana’s main ethnic groups. The couple took part in a banquet on Monday, where they danced to highlife music, the country’s well-known musical style. Prince Charles left the country with the highest states Honored after being decorated by President Nana Akufo-Addo. I wondered if there was a room somewhere in Buckingham Palace where these sashes and gongs are kept.

The Prince and wife have also been to other African countries during their tour in the continent and have given talks on pertinent issues such as climate change, pollution among others.
While back in Britain, a memorial series of £5 coins has been released to mark the Prince of Wales’ birthday. The coins features an engraved portrait of Prince Charles. The edge of the coin designed by Robert Elderton features the words “HRH The Prince of Wales – 70th Birthday, on 14 November 2018.
The Royal Mint, based in Lantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taff, also struck coins for his 50th and 60th birthdays. What a way to celebrate a prince! It is also important to note that Prince Charles is the longest serving heir to the throne in British history and is the oldest heir to the throne for more than 300 years. He is patron of more than 400 organizations, The Prince of Wales is 70 today..what more can we say than wish him happy birthday.
