Shatta Wale, the Ghanaian dancehall artiste has released the music video of his 2018 hit single “My Level”. The hit song that was released last September though surprisingly did not make it in his “Reign” album.
“My Level” which became an anthem for many has received a lot of airplay across Ghana. The 3 minutes video was directed by Sesan, the award-winning Nigerian director and produced by PAQ.
In the video, you could see Shatta leaving a building and floating away with a bunch of balloons offered to him by one of his die-heart fans, Shatta Berry. He floats while performing the song.
Shatta Wale’s “Ghana is a village” controversy & death prediction
In a recent tour in Europe to promote his “Reign” album, the controversial dancehall artiste said “Ghana is a village”. He had a sold-out concert in Indigo, London when he asked his fans to repeat after him the words “Ghana is a village”. The fans were obliged to do just that.
A Ghanaian prophet EK Mensah and Cosmos Walker Afran, a “self-styled” social media prophet has predicted the death of Shatta Wale before the end of this year. He has promised to burn down churches in Ghana if the prediction does not happen.

What people say about “My Level” music video
Ola Michael, who was once the public relations officer of Film Producers Association of Ghana, FIPAG said the video concept is far below the level of the hit song. He says some scenes of the “My Level” video do not make sense scientifically. He doesn’t see how a little girl, Shatta Berry, who could not float with a bunch of balloon, hands it over to Shatta Wale who has higher body mass and he floats.
On the other hand, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale’s rival says he loves the music video concept. He claimed “My Level” is one of his favorite songs by Shatta Wale. Stonebwoy in the studios of Joy FM said he loves the flying concept of the video.
“I think the video came out yesterday…I love the idea…one of my good good friends, Sesan directed it… I love the flight on the balloons”, he said.
However, some people feel the video could have been done better taking into consideration how viral the song went.
